Material Aid

The Society appreciates the support of the community in donating baby goods, clothing, bassinettes, change tables, high chairs, prams, formula and nappies which are distributed to families in need. Purchases of formula, nappies, blankets and other goods are made possible by the generosity of the Melbourne and Broadmeadows Magistrates Courts, and the Jack Brockhoff Foundation.

In Home Family Support

In Home Family Support Workers work with families on problems such as family violence and to develop skills in parenting and budgeting. They also act as advocates for families. The program aims to help parents grow in self respect and confidence to enhance the quality of their family life.

Groups

Groups offer support, information on parenting, social skills and personal development through interaction with other parents and their children. The society currently offers a Positive Parenting Program and Post Natal Depression Support Groups.

Social Work/Case Managment

This is a service for families which includes advocacy, liasion, counselling, networking, education, and referrals. A case plan is formulated with input from the family and any other agency involved, to achieve positive outcomes through carefully set goals. A case manager may at times work in conjunction with a Family Support Worker.
